The Soldier's Tale del autor Igor Stravinsky, es la nueva narración y adaptación realizada por Roger Waters, el actual solista y ex miembro de Pink Floyd. The Soldier's Tale es una obra teatral "para ser leída, interpretada y bailada" por tres actores (el soldado, el diablo y un narrador) y bailarines, acompañados de un septeto de instrumentos. El libreto relata la parábola de un soldado que intercambia su violín con el diablo a cambio de un beneficio económico ilimitado. La música se califica para un septeto de violín, contrabajo, clarinete, fagot, corneta o trompeta), trombón y percusión. El libreto fue adaptado por Roger Waters de la traducción de Michael Flanders y Kitty Black, basada en el texto original de Charles-Ferdinand Ramus.
